Mr. Faye is highly motivated Professional with a proven experience of working in the demanding environment, especially in youth and sports activities in The Gambia, he is a highly involved in social improvements in Banjul city. He operates to deadlines under tight time constraints and restrictions with a proven record of achieving through sound work strategies. Liaises with customers and colleagues at all levels. Able to work on own initiative whilst remaining friendly and approachable and always willing to assist where possible. He understands your struggle, he is man that being standing up for youths empowerment and development for decades. He is kind, down to earth, humble, and open minded.
About his effort in football development when it comes to Banjul is first class, right now a small city of Banjul is having the majority of football clubs in both Gambia first and second division football leagues, Mr. Faye hard work and dedication to the people of Banjul lead to all of this positive youth activities. Mr. Faye managing and involvement in Banjul football committee development is a vital reason for Banjul being the most attractive Newettan zone in The Gambia, Banjul is attracting private sectors investing lots of money in Banjul football. Right now Banjul is having the most organised and the trouble less football center in the whole country, Ebou is part of all this improvement and development in Banjul.
Mr. Faye also plays a vital role for Banjulians during the parliamentary campaign, the three candidates of TEAM TAHAWAL BANJUL manage victorious in the parliamentary election which Ebou leads
Mr. Faye graduated from South Bank University in England with a Master’s Degree in Development Studies.
Mr. Faye is currently the second vice president of Gambia football federation (GFF), the team manager of the Banjul United Football Club, general manager of The Gambia national independence stadium which include the Friendship Hotel.
Played football for Wesley Primary, Crab Island Secondary and Saint’s Augustine’s High School. He played in the second division at the age of 15 years for Kondorong before joining Blue Diamonds and Roots respectively.
He played First division football for Wallidan, Roots, and Hawks and played for Roda FC in Norway in the First division in 1991/92 season.
Mr. Faye coached the Gambia Port Authority FC from the third division to the second division. He furthers his coaching career with GPA, Real De Banjul in the First division and Young Africans in the second division. He has also served as the Secretary General for The Gambia Coaching Association and is now the Secretary General of the Banjul Sports Committee.
Mr. Faye has worked as a sports journalist for Radio 1 FM from 1994/96 and has a Diploma in Freelance Journalism.
