NOT EVEN ECOMIG CAN SAVE BARROW FROM THE WRATH OF THE PEOPLE!

No foreign intervention can save a government that is persistently failing its citizenry and disregarding fundamental rights.

According to Vattel, rulers lose the right to rule when they violate the purposes that justify their authority.

ECOMIG intervention to the Gambia is justified under international law to help remove tyranny, defend the will of the people and prevent humanitarian crisis.

The ECOMIG intervention is not in the Gambia to meddle in the country’s domestic affairs. As enshrined in the foundational principles of international law, Gambians have a right to self determination (to determine the manner in which they are governed) without external interference.

The legitimacy and legality of ECOMIG does not include coercion against unarmed civilians.  I have no doubt that the forces command are aware of the rules of engagement.
